Does the Ethiopian Orthodox Bible have 81 books?
The Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church commonly identifies an 81-book canon. Counts can appear different in English when publishers divide, combine, or label works differently. A careful guide should state the counting method instead of presenting every number as interchangeable.
Is the Book of Enoch in the Ethiopian Bible?
Yes. 1 Enoch is preserved as scripture in the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo tradition. Most other Jewish and Christian canons do not include it, although portions also survive in Aramaic among the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Are Jubilees and Meqabyan included?
Jubilees and the Ethiopian Books of Meqabyan belong to the Ethiopian Orthodox biblical tradition. Meqabyan should not be treated as another translation of the Greek Maccabean books.
