Seven days is enough time to establish a rhythm without pretending you can master a vast tradition in a week. This plan pairs texts strongly associated with the Ethiopian canon with familiar biblical passages and one practical question each day.

Day 1: Watchers and responsibility

Read Genesis 6:1–5 and 1 Enoch 6–8. Ask: When influence is shared, how does personal responsibility remain?

Day 2: Knowledge and consequence

Read 1 Enoch 10 and a related wisdom passage. Ask: What obligation follows when I understand more than I did before?

Day 3: Silence and complicity

Read Ezekiel 33:6–9 and the assigned material in your study edition. Ask: When does silence stop being caution and become participation?

Day 4: Authority and accountability

Read Luke 12:35–48 and Psalm 72. Ask: Who is affected by the way entrusted authority is exercised?

Day 5: Judgment and mercy

Read a judgment narrative alongside a Gospel encounter shaped by mercy. Ask: How can truth and restoration remain together?

Day 6: Faithfulness in small things

Read Luke 16:10, Proverbs 28:20, and Psalm 15. Ask: What does my smallest repeated decision reveal?

Day 7: Restoration and hope

Read a restoration passage and review the week. Ask: What can be repaired, what must be grieved, and what faithful action comes next?

How to use the plan

Read the passage before the commentary. Write one observation from the text, one connection to another reading, and one action. Keep textual fact, historical context, church tradition, and personal reflection in separate columns.

If a passage comes from a work unfamiliar to you, use an edition that identifies its source and translation. The full Week One study collection includes 35 assigned reading sections, contextual notes, interpretive boundaries, and printable workbook tools so readers do not need to locate each passage separately.

Continue after seven days

Review your notes before beginning another study. Circle one repeated theme and one unfinished responsibility. The goal is not speed. It is a practice of careful reading that can continue through the larger Daily Study 365 path.
